This started out as a really sketchy kinda pencil doodle for a 'song inspiration' challenge and I kinda liked it better that way... except that his proportions were more off for Lance than they are here still. So I scanned the sketch and edited him longer in Photoshop. Printed that out and lightboxed the printout for inks.
I hate lightbox tracing.
So then, this is what we end up with.
Done at least partially to Goo Goo Dolls' 'Name'. And that's about as incognito as Lance gets.
I am in love with my lightbox. Mostly because my pencils get crazy and its so much easier to ink without having to erase all hard and risk ripping the paper. Plus I get to have an ink version and the sketch so I can see it in stages. And on that note, my cousin Jay once bought me tracing paper for Christmas. XD I still haven't lived that down, so I'm okay with my lightbox
Even incognito, Lance still stands out which is so amusing me right now. His fashion is still elevated above normal and gawd that long frame I love Lance! Husband #834709 FTW!
A lightbox is, basically, a box with a light in it You use it to trace something on one paper onto something on another. The broke version is holding it up to a window for the light to shine through.
