Theory of a Deadman (Last Song): Why does it feel like this world is just not for us?
Why does it feel like this world's all they've got for us?
Why does it feel like nobody's watching us?
The song I listened to while drawing a good chunk of it...
Anyhow, this started out as a random sketch a few days ago and turned into an actual picture today. I can even pretend it had meaning if I want, what with Link being a half-elf born to the forests and nature, uprooted and confined (for lack of a better word) to the city life. Poor angsty Link. I love him muchly.
[Edit] I reuploaded the picture because he kinda-sorta didn't have half a thigh - and not a single one of you noticed! Haha. But, I did... eventually... and now 'tis fixed
This is excellent. The more you look at it, the more you see. I'm wondering how you achieved the fog effect...I've tried to get the same effect with pencil myself, but all I got was dirty fingers. You Rock, Dixie! I'm Favin this.
I this piece verrah much. i-i I feel bad for Link... even though he looks super cool ^^; Mainly cause I know it sucks to be uprooted and moved around >_> although, not nearly to the same extent.
The mist (smog... whatever) is neat.. cause.. to my mind it makes me think of his memory bringing back his old world in a haze of unclear memories. *shrugs* imo.
Either way, it's stunning, as always. < 3 And his outfit is sexy cool *lol*

This is gorgeous. I love how much detail you put into everything. I can stare at any one of your pictures for an hour and still be finding tiny little things when my eyes cross 9_e Love it! *random tackles and luzzit*
Beautiful work as always Amber. I truly love how you treat your pencil...kudos. I think this is one of the pictures of Link that really captures who he is. Great work.

When one has dealings with scholars and artists it is easy to miscalculate in opposite directions: behind a remarkable artist one not infrequently finds a mediocre man, and behind a mediocre artist often a very remarkable man.
