This was a commission I did for a guy named Derek back in October, when I was doing such things. The directions were to do a drow elf in a breastplate with a spider design on it. At the time I wasn't even sure what a drow elf was (still not positive) but he was happy with the way it turned out. He saw some sketches on my website where I'd been exploring dragon skeletons and paid me extra to add in the little bone guy and I have to say he ended up being my favorite part of the work.
The commission was for ink, so I never did end up coloring it. Too bad really.
Bic .5mm mechanical pencil, Uni-Ball Vision pen.
this is really well done, I totally like the way you did her from head to toe.
the breast plate is real nice, and my favorite part is the drawgon skeleton you did.
her legs are also amazing.
well job well done !!

I think one of my favorite things about your style, besides the fact that it rocks in general LOL is that you bring such a solid realism to it, without losing the fantasy-type beauty. Big noses, big chins, or whatever else you give a specific character, they never look out of place or misdrawn. In this one I love the knees. You have the bones of the kneecap so realistic, but the leg is still soft and feminine. Fantastic job, Amber, as always My favorite part is the little skeletal dragon. I LOVED looking at the bone studies of the dinosaurs you shared with me. Absolutely fascinating what you see that I don't. It's the great thing that seperates all artists styles, the things they notice and implement. Good job!
Fabulous inking! Smooth, clean, and dark in just the right places. The breastplace is awesome, and I love the little skeleton pet too! Wonderful detail. There's always so much to look at in your work.
A drow is a dark elf (one type of many). They usually live underground, have dark grey to black skin, and assosciate with spiders They're a matriarchal society
Anyways, I think this is awesome and it is a shame you didn't get to do a color one because the linework is great, very smooth. Nice work incorporating the spider into the design of the breastplate, it looks excellent
